Deck around the trees
The deck folds around three existing trees and steps down to the lawn.

A deck decides where the sun sits, where people stand and how the house meets the garden. So we start with the place itself: the levels, the view, where the water runs and where the trees stand.
The frame is levelled and treated before a single board goes down. Boards are fixed with hidden clips where the finish calls for it, and the edges are rounded so a bare foot feels nothing.
